      There are quite a few symptoms, but not every schizophrenia sufferer gets all of them. They can include:

      * Delusions (being convinced of something that is not true, for example that your dad is the president)
      * Hallucinating (either seeing or hearing things that aren’t there)
      * Find it very difficult to talk to and relate to people
      * Extreme periods of depression
      * Reduced attention and ability to remember things while doing a task

      Patients normally start to show symptoms when they are young adults
