I’m going to say: Ninjas.
There was a really silly Latvian song in the Eurovision Song Contest about pirates in 2008 and I hated it. Down with pirates!

Pirates every time. They have big boats and cannons. Ninjas just have pajamas.

There are far too many ninja fans in the world of science it seems. The pirates (undeniably cooler as they are) need to fight back!

No way. Ninjas take pirates every time. Of course, then they’re stuck on a boat with a bunch of dead sailors and no way to get home — so maybe in that sense it’s a draw.

Pirates have more fun. I’d rather be a pirate any day. Also they dress better.

I assume that none of you has seen the *amazing* TV show ‘Deadliest Warrior’: http://www.spike.com/show/31082, in which an array of preposterously hunky ‘scientists and engineers’ create simulations of battles between some of history’s most formidable warriors. I have to admit, the Season 1 finale was somewhat unexpected.

pirates say Aaaaarrr, wich makes them cool, but I am totally team ninja. they can creep up on the pirates and use their epic swords!
