i hope my other question addressed this for you. i basically think the key to great beatboxing is probably a combination of being able to do good mimickry of the different instruments with an ability to combine lots of different sounds together in that clever way to make them sound like lots of different tracks on a record rather than just one voice. it’s probably also got a lot to do with picking the right tunes that people will want to hear and that are best suited to showing off your skills to their best. In the same way that I know I’m pretty good at Girls Aloud songs in karaoke but rubbish at Kelly Clarkson (too many high notes!) ; )
But we’ll really know the answer to this question when we get to meet some beatboxers, hopefully if I can organise the schools event I’m planning!
