• Question: do you like science ? or do you just want loads of money ?

      Haha! Unfortunately I don’t get paid lots of money so I definitely do my job out of love! I took a huge pay cut from being in veterinary general practice to go into research because I wanted the stimulation of discovery!

      Hiya,

      Yes, I do like science – If I wanted lots of money I’d be in a totally different job! I work in science because I can do interesting experiments, manage my own time, dress how I like (!), and be around lots of interesting and inspiring people all day long.

      If I wanted loads of money I probably wouldn’t have gone into science! (The money isn’t that bad – but there are better paid jobs out there.) I do find it very interesting though, and its nice to have a job that changes over time as you discover new things.

      I like science very much! and although I get paid a decent salary, I’m not in it for the money, as there are other jobs that can pay a lot more with the same qualifications I have.

    I’d like to try lots of money at some point — you know, just for a few weeks, and see how it is. Would make a nice change 🙂
