Thanks diamond — me too! It tough to see people being evicted, actually. I didn’t know Mariana before IAS but we spoke a lot via the chats and all the Q&A and I thought she was terrific. Of course, I’ll probably feel the same as each of us is evicted — I think there’s a nice group of people in the brain zone — students, scientists, and moderators alike!
The ‘survivors’ are pretty relieved that Eviction 1 is over, but where did all the questions go? Let’s keep ’em coming! It distracts us from eviction nerves… ; )
Carolyn’s right — we’re missing all the activity and it gives us a lovely illusion of control where we think that by doing something (chats, Qs, comments, whatever!) we have a chance to prevent our own evictions. Help a poor scientist maintain his or her illusions and keep up the chatter! 🙂

Wow, I can’t believe it’s the last day of IAS. Just wanted to thank all of you for doing this. The questions have been fantastic (and funny!) and the chats even better. Thanks so much for voting for me and keeping me in to the finals. This is the most science-related fun I’ve had in ages and today should be a blast.
As Joe said, its been really good fun chatting with you all. The questions have been a mix of really tough challenging ones and some that just made me burst out laughing.
Whoever wins, thanks everyone for taking part and I hope you got a lot out of this.
